As a Senior Web Development and Automation Tools Engineer, you will be a member of a team responsible for Design, Development and support of Web portals for VMwares IT and Non-IT domains. You will work very closely with the IT Leadership as well as various Business Units, IT and Non-IT Teams of different functional areas to gather requirements and Identify self-service and automation opportunities and design creative, stable and scalable web portals. This position requires extensive experience working with and knowledge of web development, server side scripting and automation frameworks to help in our journey to delivering ITaaS.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

The qualified candidate should have a proven track record of designing and development of Web portals and applications The essential functions include but are not limited to:

Develop rich interactive web portals and develop prototypes quickly

Design, develop, code, test, implementation and support of all phases of the web portals.

Work collaboratively with other internal Product teams on integration of web portal with their product and building dashboards to present metrics from the Product.

Documentation of system, software, and business processes.

Participate in meetings with various Operations and Business Groups in understanding the requirements as well as providing feedback on the technologies used

Work with IT operations and other teams on joint testing of new tools technology and features

Provide Tiered support to IT operations as required

Must be willing to work outside normal business hours, including weekends and nights when necessary

Education/Work Experience Requirements

Bachelors degree preferably in Computer Science or Equivalent

8+ years experience, supporting large enterprise environments
